We look forward to seeing you in Quebec City, for this new conference prsented by HydroSolution on Managing losses in co-ownership: Tips on how to preserve the rights of the syndicate against responsible co-owners and tenants. You'll be joined by Me Michel Paradis, lawyer emeritus at Therrien Couture Jolicoeur and president of the RGCQ Québec chapter.
Virtually every syndicate in Quebec has, at one time or another, experienced water damage that required the intervention of their insurers and those of the co-owners whose units suffered damage. Speakers will explain to participants best practices on how co-owners and administrators should behave on site and in the immediate aftermath of an insurance claim.
- What do administrators need to do quickly to identify the cause of the loss and determine whether a co-owner is responsible?
- How should co-owners behave?
- What recourse does the syndicate have against insurers and co-owners or their tenants?
- How to build a claim file?
The basic concepts of syndicate and co-owner insurance will be briefly reviewed.
Good to know 💡 : 3 books "Tout sur l'assurance condo" written by Me Joli-Coeur will be offered by a draw during this training.
