Practical solutions for managing your co-ownership’s energy use

In collaboration with Hydro-Québec

In a context where energy management has become a key issue for co-ownerships, the RGCQ is proud to highlight its collaboration with Hydro-Québec for the benefit of its members. This initiative aims to facilitate access to services, tools, and solutions tailored to the realities of co-ownership syndicates.

Whether it involves support, financial assistance, or technological solutions, this page is designed to bring together useful information to help co-ownerships better understand their options, optimize their energy consumption, and support more sustainable management of their buildings.

Use electricity more efficiently and at the right time, it pays off!

The energy transition is a major undertaking and a shared responsibility. More than ever, it is essential to optimize the energy performance of your buildings and make them more resilient.

How your buildings are maintained can truly contribute to more efficient energy management by Hydro-Québec. The choice of new equipment is crucial, not only for your current consumption but also for that of future generations. Moreover, this approach is financially beneficial.

Why is it important?

What benefits do you gain by acting now?

  • Save on your electricity bill
  • Increase the value of your building
  • Ensure occupant comfort

Plan ahead!

By installing efficient equipment, you help comply with recently adopted laws, namely:

  • Bill 16, which aims to ensure the long-term sustainability of co-ownership buildings by requiring better maintenance planning, notably through a maintenance log and a contingency fund based on a professional study.
  • Bill 41, which aims to improve the environmental performance of buildings by granting the Government of Quebec powers to measure, regulate, and reduce their energy and carbon footprint, in particular through disclosure and performance requirements.
