Our Apéro-Condo combines an accessible, practical conference followed by a networking cocktail, encouraging exchanges among co-owners, directors, managers, and industry professionals.

This edition will focus on a highly relevant question: is it better to buy or rent a condo?

In a context where rents are rising, condominium fees are the subject of much discussion, and the ability to save remains a challenge for many households, this conference will offer a clear, data-driven, and nuanced analysis of condo ownership as a financial, real estate, and wealth-building decision.

Using realistic scenarios, we will compare the monthly costs associated with renting and buying, the impact of condominium fees, the potential evolution of a condo’s value, mortgage principal repayment, and the net worth that can be created over time.

The conference will also address an essential condition that is too often underestimated: the quality of condominium management.

Buying a condo can be advantageous, but only if the building is well managed, the funds are properly planned, and management tools — such as the maintenance log and asset management plan — are taken seriously.
