We are pleased to invite you to this Roundtable in Gatineau on the regulatory framework of Bill 16, which will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Following its official publication by the Government of Québec in the Gazette officielle on July 30, the coming into force of Bill 16 marks a major turning point in condominium management in Québec. This conference aims to clarify the new obligations introduced by the legislation, focusing on three key pillars that have now become essential: the certificate of compliance, the maintenance logbook, and the reserve fund.

What you need to know:

  • Syndicate certificate must be more detailed when selling a unit
  • Maintenance logbook is mandatory and must be updated every 5 years (or every 10 years for small buildings)
  • Reserve fund study required every 5 years
  • Deposits protected through trust accounts (notary, lawyer, or CPA)

Designed to address the concerns of both small and large condominiums, this event will provide you with the essential tools to anticipate, plan, and comply with the new legal requirements.

Panelists:

Me Richard M. Leblanc – Lawyer at RPGL Avocats, Secretary of RGCQ Provincial, and President of the Outaouais Chapter

M. Julien Chaput Lemay from GROUPE ECOPLUS INC.
