Michel Paradis, lawyer

Michel Paradis, a lawyer with Therrien Couture Jolicoeur, has pleaded before all the civil courts and several administrative tribunals in Quebec; he has appeared four times before the Supreme Court of Canada, notably on the Reference re Secession of Quebec, and twice, as a member of the Quebec Bar, in cases involving litigation privilege and the illegal practice of law.

He has developed co-ownership law in Quebec, through his involvement with syndicates of co-ownership and the training courses he gives on the subject of co-ownership, and through his advice in the province's specialized magazines and newspapers.

Michel was a representative of the Québec Bar on the Task Force on the Reform of Co-ownership Law and the Advisory Committee on this reform, which resulted in Bill 16 of 2019, a major reform of the legal framework for co-ownership in Québec.

He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Quebec chapter of the Regroupement des Gestionnaires et Copropriétaires du Québec, and Secretary of the RGCQ provincial.
